Sherrard Tigers Get Revenge March 4

The Sherrard, IL, Tigers left Morrison, IL, Friday, evening, March 4, 2021, after avenging a Tuesday loss to the Mustangs in Sherrard.  The game was in doubt until the 7.7 second mark.  Then Sherrard’s Clayton Matkovic made two free throws, to extend their lead to four points.

Trey Strating made a layup as the final horn sounded, to set the final score at 52-50.

The Morrison Pons performed their dance routine before the small, restricted audience at the halftime.  It was their last performance before recording their routine on Saturday, March 6.  It will be entered into the Illinois Dance Team Association State Competition.

Nate Helms (10) drives against Sherrard as T. C. Ottens (23) and Trey Strating (13) position to assist.

Sherrard’s Will Frank scores two of his 20 points as T. C. Ottens (23) defends. Trey Strating (13 ) and Alex Anderson (5) anticipate a possible rebound.
