On Saturday, March 29, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Cordova Road, in rural Erie, IL, for a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash.
Upon arrival, Deputies located the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Erie Police Department, Erie Fire and EMS, Whiteside County Coroner’s Office, and Downtown Towing.
The accident remains under investigation by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office. No further details ar available at this time.
