3/31/14 at 8:44 a.m. Klinton R. Hodge, 25, of Prophetstown, IL was arrested at Prophet Road and Lenore Street, Rock Falls, IL, for Aggravated DUI – Drugs, Aggravated Battery to Peace Officer, Reckless Driving, Obstructing Justice, Resisting Arrest, Driving w/ License Revoked, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Improper Lane Usage, and Leaving the Scene of a Crash. Hodge was taken to the Whiteside County Jail a pending court appearance.
4/1/14 at 12:51 p.m. Alexis M. Velasquez, 22, of Sterling, IL, was arrested in the 600 block of Locust Street in Sterling, on a Whiteside County warrant for Failure to Wear a Seat Belt, Velasquez posted bond and was released.
4/4/14 at 5:00 p.m. Keith D. Wood, 23, of Sterling, IL arrested on a Whiteside County Violation of Probation warrant – Aggravated Battery. Wood was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
4/1/14 at 3:00 p.m. Darrious A. Young, 20, of Sterling, IL, was arrested on Lincoln Road at Yager Road for No Valid Driver’s License, Speeding, and No insurance. Young was released with a Notice to Appear in court at a later date.
04-03-14 at 9:25 p.m. Amanda L. Libberton, age 20 of Fulton, IL, was stopped in Fulton for no registration. She was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and No Registration. An I-bond was posted.
4/5/14 at 1:45 p.m. Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies investigated a one-vehicle accident on Moline Road at Ponderosa Lane. T he investigation revealed a vehicle driven by Crystal M. Gonzalez, 25, of Rock Falls, IL, was traveling westbound on Moline Road when she lost control and struck a guardrail. Gonzalez was treated at the scene by Lyndon/Prophetstown EMS. Gonzalez was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash and released on bond.
04-07-14 at 12:48 p.m. Ryan L. Manley, age 22 of Olney, IL, was stopped in Deer Grove, IL, for Speeding 77/40 MPH. He was issued a mandatory court date and released after his Driver’s License was posted as bond.
04-07-14 at 3:03 p.m. Ricky L. Zigler, age 66 of Tampico, IL, was stopped for speeding 82 MPH in the posted 55 MPH zone on IL Route 40, south of Rock Falls, IL. His Driver’s License was posted as bond.
04-08-14 at 7:10 a.m. Thomas A. McElwain, age 24 of Aurora, IL, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 and ultimately cited for No Valid Illinois License – Illinois Resident. He was released on bond without incident.
04-08-14 at 10:36 a.m. Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in rural Sterling, IL. Manuel E. Marquez, age 48, of Sterling was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without a FOID Card, as well as Unlawful Possession of Ammunition without a FOID Card. Marquez was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where he later posted bond and was released. Sterling Police Department assisted on scene.
