Whiteside County Sheriff’s Merit Commission is accepting applications for the Correctional Deputy Eligibility List, now through Monday, January 4, 2021, at 4:00 p.m.
Applications may be picked up at the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, 400 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL, or printed from the County website: www.whiteside.org. Office hours are Monday-through-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Starting pay is $17 per hour with benefits.
Applications must have or pass the following requirements:
- be 21 years of age
- have earned a High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- have at least 20/50 vision without glasses or corrected to 20/20
- a written test with credit for military service (provide DD214 form.)
If offered the position, applicant must pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam, and polygraph exam. Education, expertise, and skills will be considered in screening the applicant for testing.
The top test scorers will be given an oral interview.
