On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 7:40 p.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call at 17360 Diamond Road, in rural Fulton, IL, for a tree that had fallen on a woman. Responding to the scene were Fulton Fire and Ambulance Department, Clinton Fire and Ambulance Department, and Whiteside County Deputies. Jodi Housenga was struck by a falling tree and transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Clinton, IA. Information from Mercy hospital stated Jodi L. Housenga, 54 years old, was pronounced deceased at 8:51 p.m., at Mercy Hospital.
