Charges listed below are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

3-05-17 at 11:35 a.m.  In the 400 block of E. 8th Street, Rock Falls, IL, Deputies arrested Auston J. Garrett, 18, on a Whiteside County warrant for Failure to Appear Driving While License Suspended. Garrett posted bond on scene and was released on a Notice to Appear in Sterling Court.

3-04-17 at 4:51 p.m.  In the 1900 block of 1st Avenue, Rock Falls, IL, Deputies arrested Kenneth L. Tornow, 49 Rock Falls, on a Whiteside County warrant for Failure to Appear Driving While License Suspended. He was unable to post the required bond. Tornow was transported to the Whiteside County jail in lieu of bond.

3-02-17 at 11:35 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in Rock Falls, IL, for disobeying at stop sign. The driver, Vicky L. Munz, age 53 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (cocaine) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her passenger, Colleen D. Cox, age 55 also of Sterling, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (cocaine), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Pay/Appear Resisting a Peace Officer. Both were remanded to the Whiteside County Jail, pending an initial court appearance. Sterling Police and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

3-02-17 at 1:15 a.m.  Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 88, about milepost 35, and it eventually was stopped on U. S. Route 30 west of Galt Road. The driver, Luke C. Thorsen, age 37 of Rockford, IL, was arrested for Speeding 83/70 MPH, Improper Driving on the Shoulder of the Roadway, Disobey a Stop Sign, Attempting to Flee and Elude, and Resisting a Peace Officer. He was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. Assisting on scene was Williams’s Towing.

3-1-17 at 5:39 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop within the city limits of Sterling, IL. Upon further investigation, Derik P. Lebarron, age 25 of Sterling, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked. Once in custody, Lebarron was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released with a Notice to Appear. Slim-N-Hank’s assisted on scene.

<3-01-17 at 11:35 p.m.  Michael A. Vegter, age 23 of Morrison, IL, was stopped for No Front Registration Plate on his vehicle while in Morrison. Vegter was arrested for two counts of DUI and No Front Plate, processed at the Whiteside County Jail, and released with a Notice to Appear.
