12-2-16 at 12:54 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in rural Rock Falls, IL. Upon further investigation, a juvenile, age 15 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Domestic Battery as well as a Runaway. The juvenile was transported to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and was eventually released to a parent. The Rock Falls Police Department assisted on scene.
12-4-16 at 11:40 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies responded to a call regarding a vehicle in the ditch and a suspicious person. Once Deputies arrived on scene Daniel S. McCune, age 46 of Rock Falls, IL, was identified. Upon further investigation, McCune was arrested for Improper Driving on the Shoulder of the Roadway and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. McCune was transported to CGH Hospital, where he was later released with a Notice to Appear. CGH EMS and Williams Towing assisted on scene.
12-16-16 at 3:20 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash in rural Sterling, IL. Upon further investigation, Tyler R. Vandewostine, age 20 of Prophetstown, IL, was arrested for Driving Too Fast For Conditions and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. Vandewostine was released with a Notice to Appear and was later processed. The Sterling Fire Department, Sterling EMS, and Williams Towing assisted on scene.
12-17-16 at 1:01 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies responded to a single-vehicle roll over crash near Prophetstown, IL. Upon further investigation, Chaz M. Schindel, age 26 or Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Driving Too Fast For Conditions, No Seat Belt, and Driving Under the Influence. Schindel was transported to the hospital for his injuries and was released with a Notice to Appear. The Illinois State Police, Prophetstown Fire Department, Prophetstown EMS, and Slim-N-Hank’s assisted on scene.
