8-21-14 at 11:33 a.m. Whiteside Count Deputies arrested Matthias L. Johnson, age 32 of Rock Falls, IL, for an outstanding Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Johnson was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he later posted bond.
8-21-14 at 12:31 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies were called to assist the Sterling Fire Department with an out-of-control fire in the 1600 block of W. 3rd Street. Upon further investigation Larry J. De Witte, age 66 of Morrison, IL, was arrested for violating the Open Burn Act. De Witte was released on scene with a Notice to Appear.
08-25-14 at 5:46 p.m. Sonya R. Dawson, age 38 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested in Rock Falls for Driving While License Suspended and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. She was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear while her vehicle was removed by Williams’ Towing.
08-26-14 at 01:04 a.m. 17-year-old Tampico, IL, Male was arrested following a traffic stop at Pine and Walter Streets, Rock Falls, IL, for Inoperative Rear Registration Light, Graduated License-Too Many Passengers, and No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew. He was bonded and released on scene. A 15-year-old male passenger from Rock Falls was arrested for Curfew and released to his mother.
08-26-14 at 11:44 p.m. Eugene D. Bailey, age 22 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Driver’s License during a traffic stop at Avenue G and 4th Street, Sterling, IL. He posed bond and was released.
08-27-14 at 1:06 a.m. Jeffrey A. Marchese, age 36 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested on Route 30 near 12th Avenue in Rock Falls, for an active Whiteside County Warrant for Failing to Appear on the charge of Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He was also issued citation for Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. An Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond on the citation, but he was held at the jail for the warrant. The vehicle was removed by William’s Towing.
08-29-14 at 8:27 p.m. Lars P. Jensen, age 58 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped in Tampico, IL, for Inoperative Rear Registration Light and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He posted his Illinois Driver’s License as bond and was released.
08-30-14 at 12:20 a.m. A 17-year-old Sterling, IL, Female was stopped for Disobeying a Stop Sign at Walnut and Walter Strees, Rock Falls, IL. She was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew and Disobeying a Stop Sign. Her Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond.
8-30-14 at 12:29 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Erie, IL. Upon further investigation Gerald A. Redell, age 57 of Erie, was cited for Supervising a Minor Driver Under the Influence of Alcohol. Redell was released on scene.
08-30-14 at 01:20 a.m. Jorge E. Lopez Salazar, age 22 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop in Sterling for speeding. He posted his Illinois Driver’s License as bond.
08-30-14 at 02:14 a.m. Dawn C. Bright, age 54 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped on U. S. Route 30 for speeding. Dawn was arrested for Speeding 74/55 MPH and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. She posted her Illinois Driver’s License as bond and was released.
08-30-14 at 04:50 a.m. Lucas P. Kokjohn, age 23 of Clinton, IA, was arrested at a Fulton, IL, residence for a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear-No Valid Driver’s License. Lucas posted the required bond and was released pending a future court date.
8-30-14 at 5:35 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Rock Falls, IL. Upon further investigation Joshua J. Nichols, age 34 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Possession of Cannabis 10-30 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and cited for Speeding. Nichols was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was able to post bond. Williams towing assisted on scene.
08-30-14 at 8:48 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies were called to a motorist assist on Interstate 88 at milepost 34. Anthony M. C. Steward, age 29 of Schaumburg, IL, was arrested for Violation of Classification. He was released on bond without incident.
08-30-14 at 10:05 p.m. Lonnie E. Robinett, age 63 of Deer Grove, IL, was arrested on Star Road at Hickory Hills Road for Improper Driving on the Shoulder of the Road and DUI, before he was released on a Notice to Appear. The vehicle was removed by Slim-N-Hank’s Towing. Tampico Fire and Ambulance assisted on scene.
08-30-14 at 11:17 p.m. A 16-year-old Sterling, IL, Male was arrested on IL Route 40 at IL Route 172 for Failure to Dim Headlights, No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew, and Graduated License Violations-Too Many Passengers. He was released after posting his Illinois Driver’s License.
8-30-14 at 11:17 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Lyndon, IL. Upon further investigation John I. Scanlan, age 19 of Lyndon, was cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Scanlan bonded on scene and was released pending a future court date.
8-30-14 at 11:58 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Erie, IL. Upon further investigation Daniel A. Lopez, age 41 of Iowa, was cited for No Valid Driver’s License. Lopez was released on scene with a Notice to Appear pending a future court date.
8-31-14 at 1:04 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Albany, IL. Upon further investigation Debra A. Bly, age 56 of Fulton, IL, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bly was transported to the Fulton Police Department, where she was released with a Notice to Appear. Albany Police Department and Midwest towing assisted on scene.
08-31-14 at 1:18 a.m. Katie L. Gilmore, age 28 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Sterling for speeding. She was ultimately arrested for two Counts of DUI and Speeding 40/30 MPH. She was processed at the Sterling Police Department and released on bond.
08-31-14 at 3:28 a.m. Jessica L. Holdren, age 26 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Sterling for Obstructed Registration and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, plus she received a written warning for Obstructed Registration as well as No Driver’s License on person. She was released on bond without incident.
09-01-14 at 12:15 a.m. Mary K. Cook, age 43 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped at IL Route 40 and 2nd Street, Rock Falls, and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Her passengers, Mathew A. Donovan, age 26, and Laura L. Brill, age 34, were in the bed of the pick-up truck and cited for Failure to Wear Seat Belt-Passengers.
9-1-14 at 1:02 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Morrison, IL. Upon further investigation Benigno Ramirez, age 27 of Indiana, was cited for Speeding and No Valid Driver’s License. Also, Minerva M. Cuatlatl, age 23 of Iowa, was cited for Permitting an Unauthorized person to drive. Ramirez was released on scene with a Notice to Appear.
