Sharon K. Pruis, 66, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, May 17, 2019, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA.
Sharon was born June 2, 1952, in Clinton, IA, to Elmer and Alberta (Kramer) Vander Eide. She attended Garden Plain Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Sharon worked for the United States Department of Agriculture until retirement in 2018. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. She had taught Sunday school, Catechism, and Children’s Church at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison for a number of years. Sharon loved being around children, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing the piano.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Adams of Morrison; one son, Timothy (Christine) Pruis of Kalamazoo, MI; five grandchildren, Austin, Blake, and Derek Adams; Elizabeth and Samuel Pruis; one sister, Susan (Paul) Klount of Morrison; two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Ken Renkes officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial to the American Cancer Society has been established.
