Sesqui Festival Schedule July 24-26

150Years2The upcoming Thomson, IL, Sesquicentennial anniversary celebration will fill the weekend of Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26, 2015.  Invite family and friends to celebrate this historic anniversary with the Village of Thomson, as it begins its next milestone.

Mega-festival events are open to residents of surrounding states, cities, towns, and villages. 

The committees considered all ages and interests:  softball, historical interpreters, drama and music, craft show, beer garden, carnival, quilt auction, animals, Euchre, clown, car show, live cannon fire, bake sale, pedal pusher tournament, church service by Abe Lincoln, magician, cemetery walk, potluck supper, parade, and fireworks!

 

Friday, July 24

7:30 p.m. Sesquicentennial Pageant “Thomson’s Town,” by the 150th Choir–Thomson School Gym; Intermission:  Auction of second Thomson Quilters Name Quilt

Saturday, July 25
