Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident south on IL Route 40 north of Bell Road. Raistlin D. Hughes of Lyndon, IL, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, Driving Too Fast for Conditions, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Hughes was traveling northbound on IL Route 40 when he drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Hughes was transported to CGH Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Hughes posted his Driver’s License for bond and was given a Sterling Court Date of Thursday, October 3, 2013.
09-01-13 at 10:54 a.m. Brandon Kiro, age 21 of Sterling, IL, was arrested by Deputies following a domestic battery incident at a rural Rock Falls, IL, address. Kiro was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail pending an initial court appearance. Sterling Police and Illinois State Police assisted.
08-31-13 at 6:25 p.m. Deputies arrested Kathleen S. Knox, age 56 of Prophetstown, IL, on the Avenue G bridge in Sterling, IL, for Driving While License Suspended. Knox was issued a citation and released on a Notice to Appear in Sterling Court on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. Knox’s vehicle was impounded.
08-31-13 at 3:55 p.m. David M. Collette, age 54 of Bloomington, IL, was stopped in rural Whiteside County and arrested for Driving While License Suspended. His passenger, Robin S. Kirkpatrick, age 60 also of Bloomington, was arrested for Permitting an Unauthorized Person to Drive. Both were released on bond without incident. Prophetstown Police assisted on scene.
08-31-13 at 12:21 p.m. Mark A. Milligan, age 28 of Sterling, IL, was stopped on IL Route 40 south of Rock Falls, IL, for speeding 72/55 MPH. He was cited for the offense and arrested on an active Whiteside County Warrant for an Order of Commitment – Body Warrant. Mark was processed and released on bond from the Rock Falls Police Department.
08-26-13 at 8:30 p.m. Deputies arrested Leslie R. Valiquette 34 Rock Falls, IL, on Harbor Drive, Rock Falls, on a Whiteside County warrant for contempt of court. Valiquette posted the $300.00 cash bond on scene, and was released on a notice to appear in Sterling Court on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.
These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
