Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, September 29, 2017.

Arrests:  On Saturday, September 30, 2017, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Brent S. Ogburn, age 40 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Ogburn with Failure to Appear-Possession of Ammunition without FOID.  Ogburn was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Sunday, October 1, 2017, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Justin L. Westpfahl, age 24 of Sterling, IL.  The traffic stop was conducted on E. North Street at N. Clinton Street for an equipment violation.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Westpfahl was arrested and charged with Improper Lighting (Warning), Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol.  Westpfahl was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and later released with a Notice to Appear for October 26, 2017.

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Chase A. Hohlen, age 20 of Sterling, IL.  The traffic stop was conducted on Hazel Road at Bishop Road, Morrison, IL, for a lane violation.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Hohlen was arrested and charged with Improper Lane Usage, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol.  Hohlen was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and later released with a Notice to Appear for October 26, 2017.

On Sunday, October 8, 2017, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Morrison Police was dispatched to 510 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, for an unknown Emergency 9-1-1 call.  As a result of the investigation, Juan J. Ponce, age 19 of Morrison, was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Ponce was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Saturday, October 14, 2017, at approximately 2:31 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jonathan D. Jordan, age 35 of Algonquin, IL.  The traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, for a one-way violation.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Jordan was arrested and charged with Improper Lane Usage-One Way, No Valid Registration, and Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol.  Jordan was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and later released with a Notice to Appear for November 9, 2017.

On Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Morrison Police arrested a female juvenile, age 17 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to a Juvenile Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging the juvenile as Delinquent-Failure to Appear.  The juvenile is being held by Whiteside County.

On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on U. S. Route 30 at Lyndon Road.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Morrison Police arrested Seth D. Pladna, age 33 of Clinton, IA, pursuant to two separate arrest warrants; one issued by Scott County, IA, charging Pladna with Failure to Appear-Possession of Controlled Substance, and the other warrant issued by Clinton County, IA, charging Pladna with Violation of Probation-Possession of Dangerous Drugs.  Pladna was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
