September 27 Morrison Police Report

Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following arrests made and citations issued since Friday, September 27, 2013.

The following Arrests are reported.

On Friday, September 27, 2013, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Morrison Police assisted the U. S. Marshall’s Office with the arrest of Sherry A. Kublick, age 40, pursuant to a Warrant for Escape issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections.  Kublick had escaped from the Fox Valley Adult Transition Center in Aurora, IL, and was believed to be at the residence of Julie L. James, age 51 of Morrison, IL.  Kublick was taken into custody for Escape, and James was arrested on a Parole Violation.  Both subjects were transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held for the Illinois Department of Corrections.

On Friday, September 27, 2013, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop at S. Jackson Street and E. Wall Street on a vehicle driven by Miguel Velazco Velasco, age 26 of Morrison, IL, for a moving violation.  Upon further investigation during the traffic stop, Velasco was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, No Valid Driver’s License, and Failure to Signal When Required.  Velasco was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and then released on a Notice to Appear with a court date of October 24, 2013.
