Discover what aviation has to offer! The Whiteside County Airport will host an Aviation Career Day and Airport Open House, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to inspire the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals. The Career Day and Fly-In/Drive-In is open and free to the public.
The Whiteside County Airport KSQI is located one half mile south of Interstate 88 (Exit #41), on the east side of IL Route 40, 10950 Hoover Road, Rock Falls, IL.
Aviation Career Day exhibitors, representing various aspects of the aviation industry, will be on hand to discuss career potentials within the aviation industry with attendees. Exhibitors include
- aircraft maintenance technicians
- aircraft salespeople
- air traffic controllers
- flight attendants
- Civil Air Patrol cadets and commander
- military recruiters
- corporate and airline pilots.
Educational aviation kids’ activities will be available. Completion of various activities will help them earn Whiteside County Airport Junior Pilot wings.

It features two asphalt runways. The longer has a length of 6499 feet and a width of 150 feet. The shorter runway measures 3900 feet long by 100 feet wide.
