Another great battle today for the Jr. Mustangs as they faced off against the Erie/Prophetstown Panthers. The 7th/8th Grade came out on top of a back-and-forth battle, winning 34-24. The 5th/6th also had another great game, battling back to tie 22-22. The win now puts the 7th/8th grade at 4-0 and 5th/6th at 2-1-1.
Before the start of the 7th/8th Grade game we honored the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, with the team running out with Old Glory flying! A big Thank You [goes] to Joe Robbins for doing all the audio, and Jason Buikema, for announcing. Also a huge Thank You [goes] to Elizabeth Yaklich for singing the National Anthem.
It was a great day of football and honoring our Country. Go, Stangs!
