Posted by

The Morrison High School Pons squad traveled to Hononegah High School in Rockton, IL, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, to compete at an Illinois Drill Team Association Regional.  Coach Jill Beswick stated, “They received a qualifying score for State again, and this was their highest IDTA score yet for this season.  They received the 6th highest score of the day, out of 40 team performances.”

Avary Bielema received a Rising Star award.  One of the judges chooses who receives this award, based on the execution of the routine.  Bielema received a medal and will be acknowledged at State.

The girls travel to Springfield, IL, this weekend for IDTA State competition.  They will depart the Morrison High School parking lot, Friday, February 10, at 1:00 p.m.  Beswick suggested a 12:45 arrival for family, friends, and supporters to wish the girls luck with a send-off.

“On Saturday, February 11, at 5:40 p.m. they are scheduled to perform,” Beswick noted.  “MHS girls will compete against two other kick teams in their division.”
