The Seahorse Swim Club sent three swimmers to Rock Island High School to compete
in the Illinois Swimming Summer Regional Championship Meet on Friday, July 17, to
Sunday, July 23, 2017. Skylar Drolema, Gracen Harmon, and Landri Harmon qualified and
swam in a total of 16 events. They made it to the podium and placed in every event that
they swam in. Skylar also broke three new Seahorse records. He swam a 2:12.72 in the 200
IM to break Mitch Story’s 2005 record of 2:15.31. Skylar swam a 4:40.59 in the 400 IM
which broke Mitch Story’s 2005 record of 4:54.15. He also swam the 1650 free in
19:21.22 to break the record of 20:22.54 that Brian Prange set back in 1999.
