Scout Sunday and Upcoming Banquet and Campout

CubUniformPack 328 will celebrate Scout Sunday on Sunday, February 11, 2018, recognizing the anniversary of the origin of Boy Scouts of America, on February 8, 1910.  The Pack and Troop will be  welcomed at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.  Pack 328 will attend the 10:15 a.m. worship service.

Scout Sunday is a day to demonstrate “A Scout is Reverent” and to thank MUMC for being the Charter Organization.

Scouts who attend will receive the Scout Sunday patch for their red vest.

The annual Blue and Gold Banquet, hosted by Pack 328, will be on Thursday, February 15, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Morrison United Methodist Church.  The event is a celebration of Scouting, and the whole family is welcome to attend.  The Pack will provide chicken and dessert; families are asked to bring a side dish to share.  Kindly RSVP to a Den Leader.

Boys will have a chance to earn a Super Hero patch, when they complete Super-Hero challenges.

Adults will hear from Friends of Scouting, learning how local support grows the Scouting Program throughout Northern Illinois.

The “Winter Olympics” Winter Campout begins with a Morrison departure from MUMC for camp at 4:45 p.m., Friday, February 23, and continues overnight until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24.  The location is Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Center, just south of Oregon, IL, on IL Route 2.

RSVP to a Den Leader by Monday, February 19.  There is a $5 fee per person; the whole family is welcome to attend the event.
