University of Illinois Extension and the Illinois State Board of Education entered into a grant partnership, to provide required USDA professional standards training to Illinois school food-service staff, called the ABC’s of School Nutrition.
University of Illinois Extension is offering a school food service professional standards training Tuesday, July 30, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be held at Amboy High School, 11 E. Hawley Street, Amboy, IL.
This training will provide six hours of USDA Professional Standards continuing education credit for the 2018-2019 school year. Training topics include:
- Schools
- Food Production Records
- Food Portioning and Combining Multiple Servings
- Enhance Taste
- Promote and Encourage Food
- Diagnosing the Lunchroom.
There is no charge for this training, however, preregistration is required by Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
