Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free, Statewide Health Insurance counseling service, for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. Your local SHIP Counselor, Kathy Schmidt, can answer questions about Medicare, Medicaid, enrollment, drug plan information, and more.
Several new things are taking place in Medicare for 2024.
1. Are you turning 65? Let’s have a conversation about Medicare.
2. Do you already have Medicare? Now is the time to sign up for a free, confidential review of your “Part D Prescription Drug Plan” or your “Medicare Advantage Plan.”
Medicare Open Enrollment runs from Sunday, October 15, through Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Schmidt will take appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays, at Gateway Credit Union, 200 N. Base Street, Morrison, IL, beginning on Monday, October 16.
Monday and Tuesday office hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional days/times may be arranged by request.
