Area adult and youth runners are invited to participate in the Inaugural John Crady 5K Memorial Race in Prophetstown, IL. The event is in memory of the late John Crady, who was an avid runner. Mark your calendar for the run, on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
The children’s Fun Run is one mile, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration is $10. The 5K Run for adults starts at 9:00. Registration is $20.
Races begin and end at Eclipse Square Park. Parking will be marked on race day.
This is a timed event, with awards for age groups and the First Place Finisher.

- Top male and female participants will be recognized, as well as top finishers in each age group.
- All entrants will be awarded a commemorative T-shirt, designed by John’s grandson, Shane Crady. Nephew Colby Richmond designed the race logo.
- Water stations will be available at every mile.
- Fresh food will be available to runners after the competition.
Do you like to run a course before race day? The starting line will be in front of the Eclipse Square Memorial Park, on E. Railroad Street, which turns into Woodlawn Street. Continue out to a T-intersection; go right onto Lyndon Road. After a short distance, turn left onto Mill Road. Continue until you reach the cone. Turn around and return to finish line.
