Sandra K. Simester, 81, of Rock Falls, IL, died on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling, IL.
Sandra was born August 4, 1942, in Rock Falls, the daughter of Elbert and Vivian (Roderick) Chronister. She married Paul Simester on May 29, 1963, in Rock Falls. Sandra worked at Parkway Village in Sterling for 21 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gambling, playing checkers with her grandchildren, and baking.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; son, Craig (Sherri) Simester, Rock Falls; brother, Monty (Kay) Chronister, of Milledgeville, IL; four grandchildren, Nicole (Bill) Sanders, of Morrison, Tori Montgomery, of Rock Falls, Dustin (Jade) Simester, of Morrison, and Brandon (Mercedes Burger) Simester; eight great-grandchildren, Autumn, Aubrianna, Sydnee, Addisyn, Addilynn, Alex, Ayden, and Ariyah; special friend, Lou Sheley; beloved dog, “Buddy.”
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Florence, Charlotte, and Nancy.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
In honor of Sandra’s wishes, no Services will be held.
