Russell N. Garrett, age 86 of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, June 30, 2016, at his home.
Russell was born on May 23, 1930, in Breckenridge, MN, the son of William and Zelma (McDougal) Garrett. He married Dorothy Dahlberg on July 29, 1950, in Breckenridge. She died in May 1999. He was employed at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company in Sterling, IL, retiring as a Superintendent after 36 years of service.
Surviving are three daughters, Ginger Witt of Marshfield, WI, Bonnie Johnson of Rock Falls, IL, Opal (Randy) Kleckler of Milledgeville, IL; one son, William (Kathy) Garrett of Morrison, IL; one sister, Janet (Lark) Perry of Sterling; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; four brothers; three sisters; one granddaughter.
Cremation will take place, and there will be no services.
