Ruby C. James, 80 of Morrison, IL, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA.
Ruby was born September 3, 1937, in Morrison to Alson and Ardetta (Given) Knox. She married Robert A. James on November 16, 1956, in Morrison. He died April 17, 2013. Ruby was a homemaker and was a housekeeper for private homes in Morrison. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morrison and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. When she was in school she was a majorette. She enjoyed yard work and spent many hours tending to her yard and raspberry patch. She also enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie James and Julie James, both of Morrison; a son, Michael (Lisa) James of Morrison; two grandchildren, Triston and Quinn James.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one brother, LaVern Knox.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.
INTERMENT: At a later date in Heaton Cemetery, Morrison, IL
A memorial has been established by the family.
