At the Wednesday, October 23, 2013, meeting Rotarians met the October Students of the Month, Cory Brown and Brandi Hosford.
Brown is the son of Betty Spangler. He is active in Student Council. He helps in the community at the Morrison Friends Food Pantry and hands out summer free lunches. Cory enjoys helping others in school and following politics and stocks. He plans to major in accounting to earn a CPA title, as well as an MBA in finance. He would like to open his own firm or work in the finance industry.
Hosford is the daughter of Michelle Montague and Ronald Hosford. She is the Captain of the Basketball and Track Team and is active in Key Club and Student Council. Brandi volunteers with kids’ basketball camps and also tutors in school. She enjoys scrapbooking and swimming and often goes to help disabled children horseback ride at White Pines Stable in Joliet, IL. She plans to go to school to obtain a doctorate in physical therapy, with a specialty of sports injuries.
