Morrison Rotary recognized May Students of the Month, Tyson Smith and Alexandria Bullard.
Tyson Smith is the son of Kelly and Jeff Smith. He played football all four years; baseball two years; golf one year. He was a B.L.I.N.D. leader for two years. As a B.L.I.N.D. leader, he assisted Freshman, to help them acclimate to High School. For two years he was a member of National Honor Society. He worked at community events and also works at Windsor Manor Assisted Living Community in Morrison, IL, as a Resident Assistant. Smith loves football, fishing, and hanging out with friends. After graduation he will attend Loras College in Dubuque, IA, and major in PE and Health. He will play on their football team. Nice job, Tyson!
Alexandria Bullard is the daughter of Angela Dykstra and Terry Bullard. She was involved in Key Club, Drama/Theater, and Choir. In May, she was inducted into National Honor Society. She is active in 4-H and Choir, and she is a Blood Drive coordinator at her church.Alexandria’s hobbies include singing, acting, writing, and reading. Next year she will attend Clinton Community College, Clinton, IA, and then transfer to a four-year college, to major in Business and/or Marketing. Congratulations, Alexandria!
Rotary Foundation Director Dave Abele presented a Paul Harris PLUS 9 award to Stephanie Deckro, of Morrison. Deckro is a very passionate Rotarian, as evidenced by her $10,000 donation to the Paul Harris Foundation!
