Morrison Rotary Club is proud to announce the 32nd Annual Harvest Hammer 5k and Duathlon!  The race is scheduled to begin at the Morrison High School at 8:00 a.m.

Please note, we moved the start time to 8:00 to allow runners to avoid the heat, and to let kids sleep in who will be running kids races at 10:00.  The race features a 5k Run and a 21-mile bike ride over relatively flat countryside.  Chip timing is used.

The long-range forecast looks wonderful!  We have only had rain twice in 34 years, so it should not deter us from a great event.  We are encouraging people who have never participated in the 5K run and 21 mile bike ride to try it out.  You can grab a friend and enter the team event, so you only have to ride or run, and your partner can do the opposite.

There is an option to just walk the 5k and enjoy the scenery.

We have a Wee Run that starts at 10:00 for kids 2nd grade and under (1/3 mile); a Fun Run for kids 3rd-5th Grade (1/2 mile); a Challenge Run kids 5th-8th Grade (1 mile) that both start at 10:15.

Two bicycles will be given away to our youth.  Challenge run winners will receive a cash award.  A complimentary Color Run follows the Harvest Hammer around 11:00 a.m.

More information is available on our website:  www.harvesthammer.org or you can register at www.getmeregistered.com and search for Harvest Hammer.

Proceeds are used to fund local youth, education, and community projects of Morrison Rotary Club.
