Placing a book in the hands of youngsters is an ongoing Rotary service project.  The committee is headed by Ellen Smith.  This year she took the suggestion from member Louise Clark, to involve the High School students.  Clark’s daughter used her own money last year to buy books for children.

Melissa Landes is the adviser of the student service group.  The BLIND acronym stands for Building Lasting Impressions that Never Die.  Their goal is to build assets and leadership skills.  Students develop mentorships with incoming Freshman and all transfer students.

Morrison Rotary Club met with the teen BLIND members on Friday, December 18, 2015, at the high school, prior to delivery of about 250 books.
