Ronald L. Hogue, 81, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL.
Ronald was born May 1, 1942, in Danville, KY, to Maurice E. and Dorothy (Burke) Hogue. He was educated in the Morrison schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. He married Joyce E. Wieneke, on March 25, 1961, at First Presbyterian Church in Morrison. Ronald was a Design Engineer for 38 years at General Electric Control Department in Morrison, until his retirement. He was a member of Morrison Country Club and was a car enthusiast. But above all else, Ronald cherished time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; daughter, Jennifer Hogue of Colona, IL; son, John (Terri) Hogue of Port Byron, IL; four grandchildren, Adam (Alicia) Friedrich, Kristin (Jeremiah) Moore, and Alex (Sydnee) Hogue, and Austin (Rachel Hess) Hogue; brother, Barry (Joyce Ann) Hogue of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; brothers-in-law, Robert (Diane) Wieneke, Richard (Andrea) Wieneke, Gary (Fran) Wieneke, and Terry (LuAnn) Wieneke; sister-in-law, Carol Wieneke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald in infancy; parents-in-law, Joe and Millie Wieneke; brother-in-law, Al Wieneke.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 1:00-to-5:00 p.m., at the Mississippi River Distilling Company Celebration Center, 229 N. Cody Road, Le Claire, IA.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
