Ronald K. “Ron” Kuehl, 67, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, September 19, 2020, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.
Ron was born May 8, 1953, in Morrison to Kenneth and Jane (Newell) Kuehl. He attended the Union Grove School and was a 1971 graduate of Morrison High School. He married Denise Geerts on August 10, 1974, in Morrison. They later divorced. Ron worked at Climco, at Illinois Forge, and then Bull’s Lumber. He was also a self-employed contractor for many years. Later he was employed as a Chain Assemblyman at Timken Drives in Fulton, IL. Most recently he managed an apartment complex in Savanna, IL. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. Ron loved bowling and softball; he was a sports announcer for Morrison High School for over 25 years. Ron was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. He loved coaching his sons in baseball when they were younger.
Survivors include sons, Andy (Susan) Kuehl of Burlington, IA, Adam (Suzi Ryan) Kuehl of Montgomery, IL and Luke (Ashley) Kuehl of Morrison; 11 grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, Tyler, Bryar, Colton, Dawson, Tate, Ellery, Addy, Allison and Jack; two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Lincoln; brothers, Randy (Lois) Kuehl, Kevin (Shari) Kuehl, and Phil (Heather) Kuehl; sister-in-law, Susan Kuehl; uncles, Bill and Dick (Karen) Kuehl; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry Kuehl.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Service arrangements are pending at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
