onald G. Meier, 86, of Prophetstown, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling, IL.
Ronald was born on February 21, 1934, in Whiteside County, the son of August and Elsie (Taber) Meier. He was employed as a farmer for 20 years and later worked at Whiteside County F.S. until retiring in 1996. Ronald was a member of First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown.
Survivors include daughters, Roxane (Scott) Gluff of Prophetstown and Ronda Davison, of Morrison, IL; son, Randy (Lisa) Meier, Morrison; brothers, Larry Meier of Surprise, AZ, Raymond Meier of Winslow, IL, and John (Alice) Meier of Shabbona, IL; five grandchildren, Coty Gluff and Erica (Cory) Heaton, all of Prophetstown, Jessica Sloan of Jefferson City, MO, Brandon Meier and William Meier, of Morrison; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Meier.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Per Ronald’s wishes, no services will be held.
