Ronald C. Roth, age 90, of Lakeview Village, Lenexa, KS, died Friday, January 27, 2023.
Ron Roth was born April 26, 1932, in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Southeast High School, he went to Kansas City Missouri Junior College for two years, then attended University of Kansas at Lawrence, KS, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1953.
In June 1953, Ron married another Jayhawk, Gayle Granberg, and joined the General Electric Company in its Manufacturing Training Program. After three years training in various GE plants, and two years in the U. S. Army, he and Gayle spent 12 years in Morrison, IL, with Ron working at the General Electric plant.
The Roths moved back to the Kansas City area in the late 1970s, where Ron worked as a Broker for J. D. Reece Real Estate until retiring in 1997.
Ron was active in Presbyterian Church activities for many years, having served as an Elder, Trustee, Treasurer, Deacon, and Choir Member at various churches. Since retiring, he has been active in many volunteer activities, including work with the Village Church Tuesdays-through-Thursdays, Habitat for Humanity construction crew, and Meals on Wheels. For six and a half years, Ron served as Driver or Helper on the Food Pantry truck and was a regular member of the Tuesday morning Volunteer Team at the Pantry.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Shirley Busche and son-in-law, Jeff Busche, of DeSoto, KS; son, Bradley Roth and daughter-in-law Shirley Roth, of Rochester Hills, MI; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Katherine Roth; two grandsons, Alex and Max Busche; one great-granddaughter, Layla.
A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
