The Morrison Mustangs recorded their third loss of the young season in a game that was evenly pitched between Mustang Ryan VanZuiden and Rockridge’s Uflin. Ryan VanZuiden was a workhorse on the mound for Morrison.
VanZuiden allowed three runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings of work and the Rockets Uflin allowed only one run on six hits and seven strikeouts. The deciding action happened in the Rockridge third inning as they scored three runs on a fielder’s choice and two singles. Joey Brackemyer collected two of the Mustang six hits in the loss.
