Playing a makeup game due to the snow cancelling the scheduled game, the Morrison Fillies Basketball Team traveled to Taylor Ridge, IL. The local girls fell one point short to the Rockridge Rockets, 41-40
The Fillies played the Rockets, despite trailing in the opening quarter 8-5 and entering the final stanza down five, 31-26.
Rockridge’s Tayler Johnson scored eight of the Rockets’ fourth quarter ten points, before fouling out. The Fillies squeezed the margin to one, but they could not close the gap before the final buzzer.
Lakin Goodman led the Fillies with 13 points. Eight Fillies made the scorebook. Ashley Greul cleared off a game-high 11 rebounds, to sustain her area leadership in rebounding.
