Robert K. Cook, Sr., 74, of Morrison, IL, died at home on Monday, December 3, 2018, surrounded by those he loved.
Bob was born March 14, 1944, in Sioux City, IA, to Elmer Cook and Nellie (Lindstrom) Cook-Eads. He was educated in the Clystic Consolidated School in Whiteside County, IL. On August 11, 1978, he married Eileen V. Schipper in Morrison. Bob had worked as a sandblaster in Florida and later as a chef in Texas. Bob worked as a wood crafter out of his home in Morrison. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and especially celebrating the Christmas season with his family. Bob loved chatting with everyone and anyone.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; children, including Ellen (Amanda) Cook and three other daughters; sons, Robert (Ariana) Cook, Jr. and Dalton Cook; many grandchildren; sisters, Vickie (Jim) Carroll and Ellen Turner; one brother, Larry (Mary) Eads.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Lindstrom.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no visitation; a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
