Robert “Bob” D. Endress (1939 – 2025)

Robert D. “Bob” Endress, 85, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison.

Bob was born on June 9, 1939, in Pearl City, IL, to Simon and Corretta O. (Thomasson) Endress.  He was educated in the Pearl City grade schools and was a 1957 graduate of Pearl City High School.  On July 13, 1971, he married Karen L. Prestley in Morrison.  Bob was first employed with Bocker Chevrolet in Freeport, IL.  He then worked for Noeske Pontiac Buick in Morrison.  In 1976 Bob purchased Noeske and became the new owner of Endress Pontiac Buick.  He ran the dealership until his retirement.  Bob also owned and operated a snowmobile dealership–Art and Bob’s Recreational Service–in Morrison.  He was a baptized member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pearl City.  Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting.  Other outdoor activities included golfing, playing softball, and going to the drag races with Arnie Beswick.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughter, Bobbi Endress of Rock Island, IL; sons, Dean (Angela) Endress of Salisbury, NC, and Jason Endress of Morrison; step-son, Todd Heusinkveld of Morrison; two grandchildren, Robbie (Kat) Endress and Emily Endress; three greatgrandchildren; brother, Michael (Susan) Endress of Milwaukee, WI; sister-in-law, Darlene Endress of Pearl City; special cousin, Dewey (Mary) Endress of Pearl City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Bostian; brother, Ron Endress.

A Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

The Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, officiated by Ken Renkes.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.

A memorial has been established to Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.
