Robert A. “Bob” Rubright (1935 – 2024)

Robert A. “Bob” Rubright, 88 of Rock Falls, IL, died Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 25, 1935, in Sterling, IL, the son of Arthur and Jeanette (Cox) Rubright and had served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bob married the love of his life, Barbara Osborn, on December 21, 1955. He had worked for 39 years at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co., retiring from the Strand Caster. His passion in life was his love for Jesus and his family. He had loved farming and working with his horses. Bob was a long-time member of Harvest Time Bible Church. He was a Vikings fan.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughters, Kelly (Wally) Barger of Polo, IL, Kendra (Frank) Delgado and Kaci (Martin) Hadle,y both of Sterling; sons, Mark Rubright of Morrison, IL, and Doug (Toie) Rubright of Claremore, OK; brothers, Wayne Rubright of Montana and John “Jack” (Ann) Rubright of Rock Falls; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kirk; sister, Jan Bittner; brothers, Joel and Ron Rubright.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, IL, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials to be given in his memory to Harvest Time Bible Church.
