On Monday morning, October 5, 2015, Civil Constructors, IL, of Freeport, IL, began the destruction-before-construction phase of street repairs on E. Wall Street, Morrison, IL. Work will continue between IL Route 78 and S. Jackson Street, including south to the Pine Street intersection.
“Road work will consist of base repairs, followed by surface grinding, and finally overlaying 2¼” of blacktop,” explained Director of Public Works Gary Tresenriter last week.
He added, “Construction should last approximately three weeks. Please avoid this section of E. Wall Street if at all possible during construction. Please drive carefully in construction zones.”
This morning, the road became one lane to local traffic.
