At the present time, a new air conditioning system is being installed in the Whiteside County Administration Building (Courthouse) in Morrison, IL. A critical part needed to make the air conditioning system operational has yet to arrive to be installed As a result, the Whiteside County Administration Building (Courthouse) in Morrison is without air conditioning. The windows in the building cannot be opened.
This week’s weather forecast is for high temperatures. It is reasonable to expect similar temperatures or higher temperatures as we get into summer. In order to protect the health and safety of the employees of the State’s Attorney’s Office in Morrison, the State’s Attorney’s Office in Morrison will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This temporary schedule change only applies to the State’s Attorney’s Office in Morrison. The State’s Attorney’s Office in Sterling, IL, will maintain its normal operating hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Costello said, “I apologize for the inconvenience. When the air conditioning system in the Whiteside County Administration Building (Courthouse) in Morrison is working, the State’s Attorney’s Office in Morrison will resume normal operating hours. Thank you for your understanding and patience.”
Please be advised that this notice only applies to the State’s Attorney’s Office in Morrison – not the entire Whiteside County Administration Building (Courthouse) in Morrison and not the State’s Attorney’s Office in Sterling.
Court still is occurring. The Courthouse is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
