It was less than a year ago, on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, that this photograph of a major construction site was taken in Morrison, IL.
On Friday, February 6, 2015, the Illinois Department of Health granted official approval to open the new nursing wing at Resthave Nursing Home, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison. Staff spent the weekend moving offices to prepare for the exciting upcoming week, stated Administrator Tami Tegeler.
She explained that from Tuesday, February 10, through Thursday, February 12, the first group of current Nursing Home residents will move into their rooms.
Each will have a window to the world and private bathroom. Cable television hookup is included, but residents will need their own television–preferably not larger than 19″ diameter.
Move-ins will be transferred gradually, to lessen the strain on everyone. “It will take two or three weeks,” stated Board Treasurer Jerry Lindsey, before all residents are settled into new spaces.
“At the end of February or early March,” Tegeler said, several current residents of Four Seasons Nursing Home, Morrison Community Hospital, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, will begin their transition to Resthave.
MCH CEO Pam Pfister visited during the Resthave staff office shuffle. “[The rooms] are so pleasant and ethereal. They did a great job down there!”
Pfister reported 16 MCH residents will move. Resthave Nursing Home will welcome them with open arms.
