The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter, socializing, games, and much more at 408 Maple Avenue, in Morrison, IL. Over 45 area businesses were listed as sponsors of the Resthave Family Fun Day on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Over 700 area parents, youngsters, and family members spent time on the grounds enjoying games, food, artistic renderings, and socializing with Resthave Care & Rehabilitation residents, neighbors, and friends.
A petting zoo greeted all visitors before they chose their first activity, from the many that were located throughout the parking area.
Many of the youth headed to have their face painted, while others checked the popular artistic painting of tattoos. Hula-Hoop contests, coloring contests, relay races, scavenger hunts, and cookie walks kept the crowd active and entertained, as the warm sun made the afternoon a delight to enjoy.
While the various activities took place, a continuous flow of pork chops, hot dogs, baked beans, and snow cones were offered for the appetites of all in attendance.
Truly, it was an afternoon of fun, good food, games, prizes, and reuniting of friends. This event was the perfect theme for allowing families to safely gather, laugh, and interact in a way that makes people smile and appreciate the friendships that filled the air in Morrison.
