“Between 220 and 230 people were served,” reported a staff member near the end of the Resthave Care & Rehabilitation evening Ice Cream Social, on Thursday, June 20, 2024. It was scheduled from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Currently, 65 residents live in the Nursing Care wing, and 34 reside in the Assisted Living section.
Les Wilson added guitar music for the pleasure of people who ate outside.
Supper usually precedes dessert, so there were hot dogs, barbecued sandwiches, pork and beans, chips, and drinks offered to all ages of guests and residents. Creamy vanilla ice cream accompanied copious sweets from the dessert table. Good conversation–even during a short spate of rain–made for an enjoyable event.
