Kiwanians and Morrison High School Key Club members commandeered the crest of the hill at Kiwanis Park, in the 700 block of N. Genesee Street, Morrison, IL, on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The shelter served as headquarters for the Kiwanis Annual Easter Egg Hunt, which was begun decades ago by the Jaycee’s. Crowds spanning three generations assembled and dutifully aligned themselves behind the egg-yolk yellow taped barrier.
Morrison volunteer firefighter Jamie White and his daughter, Avery, delivered the Easter Bunny to the park at 9:45 a.m. Also riding behind were MHS Key Club Escorts, Senior Jacob Brown and Junior Alyssa Meiers. They helped the rabbit alight safely.
