Remember Those Who Served, Freedom Is Not Free

RememberAmerican Legion Post #402 has designed a method to create visible recognition of Fulton, IL, veterans in the new Veterans Memorial Park on IL Route 84.  On Friday, May 22, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., the memorial will be dedicated.

In designing the tribute, stated American Legion Post Commander William Blecha, recessed areas were planned as walkways, to hold commemorative, personalized brick pavers.  They are shown in the photographs below as dark rectangles.

“Those who served our Country–past, present, and future–can be remembered forever, by purchasing a personalized brick [paver].  These bricks will be placed in the walkways at ‘Veterans Memorial Park’.”

There is room for 400 or more bricks to be installed.  “Already,” Blecha noted, “close to 100” have been purchased.

Until Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, each 4″ x 8″ brick ordered will be priced at $80.  After that date the cost will increase to $100 per brick.
