Whiteside Master Gardeners will be hosting a gardening workshop on Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Whiteside Extension Office, 12923 Lawrence Road, Sterling, IL 61081.
There will be topics of interest for everyone from the novice to expert gardener. Individuals of all ages will learn something new, and they will be able to take home useful materials.
The afternoon will include three separate sessions:
- Shade Gardening
- Grace of Gardening
- Homemade Natural Hand Scrub and Bug Spray.
The Grace of Gardening session will specifically detail the multiple benefits of gardening, as it applies to all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. Gardening is an adventure that holds both challenges and blessings for multi-generational families or individuals.
Attendees will analyze their needs and interest by designing their own garden plan. Master Gardeners will assist with decisions and offer suggestions to meet your specific personalized plan.
Registration fee for the Garden Extravaganza Workshop is $15, which includes cost of all take-home materials. Online registration can be made at go.illinois.edu/GardenDay2018.
