Area adults are encouraged to register for an upcoming “Youth Mental Health First Aid Training.” All those who support youth (as parents, teachers, coaches, or volunteers) are invited to learn how to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in youth.
Register by Thursday, July 18, 2024. The event will be on Saturday, August 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Woodlawn Arts Academy, 3807 Woodlawn Road, Sterling, IL.
Sessions are free of charge, and lunch is provided.
This training is presented as a Girl Scout Gold Award project, in partnership with Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois, Woodlawn Arts Academy, and NAMI Sauk Valley.
