Registration is now open for all Morrison Youth Baseball and Softball divisions, grades 1st through 9th. Online registration forms are being accepted now. Sign-up can be completed at player evaluations on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Registration closes Sunday, March 8. Opening Day is scheduled for Friday, May 15, at the Morrison Sports Complex.
Player evaluations for 1st through 5th graders are February 28, any time from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Morrison Junior High School, 305 E. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL.
Evaluations are designed to help the league balance its teams during the subsequent player draft, which promotes competitive parity among the teams. Player evaluations never cause players to be excluded from participation in the league. All registered players will be placed on a team in his or her division. If you have a scheduling conflict with the February 28 evaluations, please note that on your registration form or talk to a board member. The player draft will be conducted by league coaches on Tuesday, March 10. If you are interested in coaching, please note your interest on the registration form. After the draft, parents/guardians will be contacted by the child’s coach, about the team assignments and first practice information.
