Ray Morrow, 72, of Camanche, IA, died Sunday, September 27, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.
Ray was born December 24, 1942, in Clinton, IA, to Curtis L. and Mildred C. (Heacock) Morrow. He was educated in the Albany, IL, grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. Ray married Lauri Lanphere on January 1, 1995, in Clinton, residing in Camanche throughout their marriage. He retired from John Deere Davenport Works after 35 years of service for the company. He was a member of Community Reformed Church in Clinton for many years. Ray enjoyed fishing, day trips with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and daily rides to the river.
Survivors include his wife, Lauri; three daughters, Anne Baughman of Davenport, IA; Tina (Mike) Kaufman of Morrison, IL; Amy (Dan) Shumake of Clinton; one stepson, Rodney (Trisha) Haack of Camanche; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Carolyn (Al) McDougall of Cicero, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul W. Morrow.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Community Reformed Church, Clinton, IA
OFFICIATING: Rev. Bob Hoffman, Pastor of Community Reformed Church, Clinton, IA
MEMORIAL VISITATION: 4:00 p.m., until the time of the service on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Community Reformed Church, Clinton, IA
Private family interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
