The Thomson Depot Museum is hosting Depot Day on Saturday, September 21, 2019. At 9:00 a.m. docent Lewis Frosch moderates an informal discussion of railroading over the years.
Railroad retirees, employees, and friends are invited to share stories of working on the railroad. All rail lines are welcome to recall experiences and memories of the days when mail trains, milk trains, and sleek passenger trains whistled through our communities.
The conversation runs until 11:00 and is immediately followed by the Outhouse Races. Music, pork chops sandwiches, and a presentation on the Orphan Train will round out the afternoon. Join Frosch for a tour of our museum. Bring your stories, and the Depot Committee will provide the shade.
Contact Lewis Frosch at 815-990-8002 for more information. No RSVP is required.
