Seventeen Seahorses competed in the Stars of Tomorrow Invitational at the Riverview Pool in Clinton, IA, on Friday, July 8, through Sunday, July 10, 2016. The Riverview Pool is an outdoor, 50-meter (Olympic Size) swimming pool. The Seahorses had Lifetime Best times in almost every event they swam in and ended up with 28 Top-8 finishes. The following swimmers swam Regional Qualifying times in the meet: Emery Brewer in the 100 meter Breaststroke; Schyon Drolema in the 50 meter Butterfly; Gracen Harmon in the 100 meter Freestyle. Skylar Drolema swam a State Qualifying time in the 100 meter Backstroke by swimming a 1:17.65, which also broke Logan Kuehl’s MSSC record from 2006. Skylar also broke his own club records in the 200 IM and 50 Breaststroke. The 11-12 Girls team of Kate Henson, Landri Harmon, BayLeigh Brewer, and Schyon Drolema also broke their own 200 Medley and 200 Free Relay records, which they just set last month. Jacob Allison won the 3rd place High Point Trophy for the 8 and Under Boys. Skylar Drolema won the 2nd place High Point Trophy for the 11-12 Boys.
